Warning to Albion skipper
Wednesday 25th February 2009, 12:52PM GMT.
Albion midfielder James Morrison today warned captain Jonathan Greening not to rush back too soon from his knee injury.
Morrison says the Hawthorns skipper must avoid the risk of further damage by taking his time in battling back from a medial ligament problem.
Morrison suffered a similar injury himself earlier this season and struggled to hit the ground running after rushing back into action.
“We’re missing Jonno’s ability on the pitch and the quicker we get him back the better,” said Morrison.
“But he’s got to be right before he comes back. I remember doing my medial ligament earlier in the season.
“His injury was worse and yet he’s looking at coming back as quickly as me.
“He’s got to be careful because if he rushes back he might be out for longer.
“Jonno’s keen to get back and help the team push on. When he’s back that will be great.”
