Walsall grabbed three points with a late late show at Northampton.
The game had been a dull affair until skipper Stephen Hughes scored with just seven minutes of normal time left.
Then in the last minute, sub Jabo Ibehre scored a second to make sure of all three points..
On a sticky pitch neither side had managed to play any flowing football, but it was the Saddlers who grabbed the three points.
