Hednesford make double swoop

pitmen.jpgHednesford have signed Benin international Florent Raimy from Romanian Second Division side FCM Bakau.

The Pitmen have confirmed the capture, after obtaining international clearance from the Romanian Football Association.

Raimy also holds a French passport and has played for the French youth team and under-20 teams.

Prior to FCM Bakue, he played in the USA for Cincinnati Kings in the USL Second Division and FC Oberneuland, who are based in Bremen.

Keys Park boss Dean Edwards also signed 26-year-old defender Alex Cowley from Halesowen Town.

Cowley began career on the books at West Brom and, after being released by the Baggies, he signed for Stourport Swifts in 1999.

In 2002 he moved to the Yeltz for a short spell before going to Redditch United until 2004, when he returned to The Grove.
