Nicole Howe won a money-can’t-buy prize after triumphing in the first annual Black Country Challenge Student Awards last November.
Her prize was to spend a day at the Express & Star and to see her article in print.
Nicole wowed the judges in the Writing for the Media category with her report on how she would like to see the Black Country develop by 2033.
The 15-year-old Windsor High School pupil focused her article on how she would like to see the region’s waterways brought back to life as they were
in the past.
