OAP dies in lorry collision

ambulance-topAn elderly man was killed in a road accident in Kidderminster today.

The pensioner was struck by a lorry on Stourport Road at 9.10am. The pedestrian, who has not yet been named, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

Motorists faced lengthy diversions away from the Stourport Road after the collision near a parade of shops which include Tesco Express and Foley’s Fish Bar.

Dylan Evans, spokesman for West Mercia Police, said investigations were ongoing to discover the identity of the man and the cause of the collision.
