Hmmm – MM’s blind faith still in evidence.
Was it just me or was Jarvis not 1 of the best players on the park against Reading and Kightly was quiet?
And Iwelmuo did more in 5 minutes than Keogh did all game!!!!
Oh well – I hope u have got it right MM.
Come On Wolves!!!
really pleased to see Jones in with Henry, need an attacking midfield option.
Jarvis was quality vs Reading so surprised to see him on the bench, but hope Reid performs.
Iwelumo should be in for Keogh though, we need goals badly at the moment, and Iwelumo is third in the championship scorers table at the moment on double figures!! We looked a lot better when he came on tuesday, he gels much better with Ebanks Blake.
Anyway, hope Keogh performs and scores, but Mick is a bit stubborn sometimes!!
C’mon the wolves!!
Is Shackwell injured? He is not even on the bench.
Still not sure about Keogh but lets see?
Just pleased Collins is not playing.
Great Mick has picked Keogh what a FANTASTIC GOAL SCORER. Oh thats right he cant hit a barn door!!
As soon as things go wrong old muppet doesnt seem to know what to do!
Vokes should have been on today!!
i think jarvis picked up a knock against reading hence why MM has been cautious!!
Nice to see Craddock back in the team!! What a legend!
na na na na na na na na na na Sylvain Ebanks Blake!
Reid – Stears – Ebanks-Blake
That’ll do nicely for starters. Well done lads!

Poster 4. And what exactly:-
a)Have you done in football to suggest you are a better manager than Mick?
b) Have you been doing at recent Molineux training sessions that gives you such an insight into what is best for the team?
So many crosses going into their box … get Vokes or Iwelumo on for Keogh and we might get a 2nd
Report abuse
Listening to Beacon here in Malta, decent ist half but as above why is Keogh playing totally anonymous,Hennesey just made two fantastic saves,Need to get through today then Berra hopefully can steady the ship.
Go on Ebanks-Blake
With the crosses Kites and Reid are putting in the box Keogh off and Iwelumo or Volkes on and we would have this wrapped up!!
Come on WOLVES

Oh dear Im not allowed a comment Mr Ferguson!!
Get a life mate if you think Keogh is better the Iwelumo or Vokes you need a lie down!
Come on WOLVES
Report abuse
8 Sense will prevail
It is not a case of you have to have had a career in football to know about football… providing you don’t need an appointment at specsavers you should be able to see that Keogh is ineffective as a goal scorer.
Yes he can run but if we need a goal he probably isn’t the man for the job!
Ok I am just going to get some humble pie from the kitchen!!!!

2-0 Keogh!

I hope all of keogh’s detractors go and get knotted! This lad brings so much to the wolves team its unbelievable! We are much more fluid as a team when he plays! I will admit that he doesn’t get enough goals but he is a cracking little player! Go keogh

HAHA
Keogh scores and you all think he is the best player to put a wolves shirt on !! Please
He may have scored a goal and great I am well pleased and well done Keogh he has had a better game than normal but I still say Vokes and Iwelimo would have been better and the stats prove that.
( and be honest if he hadnt scored today you would all have agreed!!)
Come on Wolves
Report abuse
ha ha some redemption – we were calling for Vokes!!!!
And there we go!!
Vokes on for less than 5 mins and scores .
Come on wolves
Report abuse
PHEW,that was looking quite shakey but good use of his Subs by MM,Reading dropping 2 points lets hope the Wolves Sheffield contingency can scupper the Blues.
23. lies, damn lies and statistics.
they may score more goals, but its what keogh brings to the team.
not into stats myself, but toddle off and look at how many goals the team as a whole has scored with keogh in it, or how many SEB has scored with him as opposed to without.
Either that, or sod off back to sandwell town with the rest of your lot who like nothing better than whinging about a team that is top and has been for ages.

Keogh scored and I am very happy but it doesn’t make him a world beater in my eyes and I don’t think he is good enough for Wolves. Vokes, I think is a better player, always hits the target and notched another today. he has scored more than Keogh now in a fraction of his playing time.
Nobodies said Keogh is the ‘best’ player to put a Wolves shirt on, you’re just backtracking because after bad mouthing him saying ‘we could be 2-0 up by now’ HE SCORED and made it 2-0! Credit where credit is due, he may not take up as many opportunities as Iwelumo but he hasn’t exactly been on top form himself lately either. I think every wolves player that was on that pitch today played blindingly, Reid was sharp, Craddock did fantastically, and Keogh came up for us at a crucial time, if it hadn’t have been 2-0 when Watford scored that goal, the attitude could have changed completely and we could have been faced with 1-1 final whistle. As it stands a win Tuesday night (which I am confident in) and it’s 7 points clear.
Come on you Wolves!!
lets all make a ‘DONT BRING BACK COLLINS’ banner and stick it where the other flags fly, gud win for the boys today keep going wolves
Report abuse
Well done Andy Keogh! Ha haa haa, There’s gonna be a lot of humble pie eaten in Wolverhampton tonight. As a team though, well done lads. The perfect result to give us some confidence. We just need a few more results like that now. A nice long winning run would be nice.
Can anyone tell me what the problem was with the turnstiles in the Steve Bull?
Welcome back Jody Craddock – We are top of the league
Report abuse
Good result today but my god Watford are useless.
Yes Keogh scored but Vokes should start he is more of a target man and you need that with SEB up front who struggles to win in the air.
Berra and Stearman playing Tuesday provided he signs.
Craddock was brilliant today, please don’t loan him out Mick!!
Done the job good effort lads keep it up for Norwich! UP THE WOLVES!
1 swallow does not a summer make, 1 goal (or should I say 3 all season) does not turn A.K. into an Ian Rush.
Good to see all the pretend fans sit at home bashing the team on the internet, while all the real fans were at the game singing in support of the team. So pleased Keogh got a goal just to shut you lot up!
HAVE BEEN TO THE GAME AND KEOGH MIGHT HAVE SCORED BUT WE WERE SHORT OF ANYONE UPFRONT WHO COULD HEAD THE BALL. KEOGH WAS LIGHT WAIT AGAIN BUT WE ALL KNOW THAT HE WILL ALWAYS BE IN THE TEAM BEACAUSE HE IS ONE OF MM’S GOLDEN BOYS. WHY IS IT THAT ALL THE SUPPORTERS CAN SEE HE IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH BUT MM STILL WILL NOT ADMIT IT? vOKES CAME ON AND MADE AN IMPACT BECAUSE HE WAS WINNING THE BALL IN THE AIR.
mm ALSO HAS A PROBLEM BECAUSE CRADDOCK PLAYED WELL SO COLLINS SHOULD NOT GET ANOTHER GAME. OH OF COURSE HE WILL CRADDOCK WILL BE SENT OUT ON LOAN.MID FIELD AND LEFT BACK IS ALSO A PROBLEM, HENRY SHOULD PLAY LB AND QUARSI SHOULD PLAY WTH EDWARDS IN MF.
Massive 3 points, decent performance as well however Jarvis was dropped harshly in my opinion and Keogh scored but really I thought he was a waste of space today. Now memo to Mick, if Collins is good enough now and before why bring in Mancienne and now Berra who’s now expected to sign on Monday? Micky has had pop in tonight’s paper about our criticism over one of his love children. Sorry for negativity there.
Anyway we looked much more solid with Craddock back in and also we should of put Watford to sword today, bring on Norwich. Keep Collins away from this team please.
Keogh took is goal well today, he does work hard by running all day but he ineffective most of the time, volkes is a much better option. The defence was better today with jody back in, there was no panic hopefuly colins wont get back in because he is a liability. Midfeild needs a shake up – very big gaps today. On to tues come on wolves.

A; All of you………. why were u not at the game today.. Plenty of empty seats in the billy wright upper?
B; I was at the game today, acknowledge keogh scored but that does not change the fact he is rubbish… I still agree vokes or Iwelumo should be starting ahead of him.
c; All of you that claim, Andy Keogh Brings so much to the wolves team etc etc blah blah blah…. Try actually going to matches and try watching his performances before you chat rubbish.
Hes a fairy. Should be playing in a fairy’s team like Albion. Along with all you arm chair fans….

Fair play KEOGH ! He had a shocker today, and managed to finish well for his goal, however Sam Vokes did more in his ten mins than Keogh managed in 90 ! , PLEASE MM start with VOKES on Tuesday night.

Keogh…… now i am officially gonna eat my hat! i was one of his critics. but today he has been by far the best player on the pitch and deserved his goal. i will claim some of his credit though as i reckon the critisism he has been getting has been deserved and has made him a better player!!
the boys played SUPERB today and i was chuffed that Vokes got his goal aswell today, to me he is another shearer in the making, good in the air, powerful, knows where the goal is and likes to have a go! top man.
well done boys. being a typical wolves fan i have one grumble.. i still think the midfield is a bit lightweight in the middle, quashie will be a great addition and take the pressure off the defence. Jody was awesome aswell, did the basics well which is all you need to do.shame its gonna be his last game for us! Berra will be a good signing! (providing our medical staff dont fail him for having a runny nose!!) finally looking as though we are back on the track!!!
in mick we trust!!

Not a Great fan of Keogh and have slagged him off inthe past but he does try 100% and a am so glad for the lad to get on the score sheet today, because that may give him conf!! Well done to the boys today and hope we can follow it up with a couple of wins against norwich & coventry. Just one thing Mick before you start shouting back at us fans about collins just remember whom pays your wages the fan!!!! and collins is crap not a thing less, amount of games he as made mistakes is just dreadful, so think before you speak and watch the videos.

Great win, excellent goal from Keogh, 3 points – UTW!

Good win today but gutted that Mark Davies has gone, one of the best players to emerge from the Wolves youth in the mould of Lescott and Keane.Theres only one person to blame for this Mad Mick and his stupid favourtism. He has walked straight into the Bolton team and according to Shearer and co is an absolute star

For all those who didnt go to the game and just listned on the radio! Keogh even though he scored i thought was average and again weak Vokes or big chris would have had them finished in the first half no doubt.Rest of selection was fine, jarvo was class when he came reid good also.Is it me or has Kites really lost his edge, missing a bit of pace!?
MOM match got to be blakey he was superb.Same again on tuesday please.
Sorry to bring it up anyone see match of the day ,davies looked excellent for Bolton got MOM apparently-shame!

I think some of you Football Manager afficionados should apply for the next Premiership (or even England) job that becomes available as you obviously know far more than a lot of the experienced managers in the game ……not. You would change the side round every 5 mins and where would that get you ? A player would have a couple of bad games and out he would go, never to be seen again. Playing as settled a side as possible is a must. Have you really had a good look at the league tables recently ? Don’t know whether you’re looking at the same table as me, but in mine we are top of the league not fighting relegation (and yes you can call me a happy clapper – I’ve been called a lot worse). The negativity on here drives me up the wall. If we’d been offered this position at the beginning of the season there’s not a single man jack of you that would have turned it down and yet here you are week after week criticising the team and the manager. After the Middlesborough game I vowed to myself never to post on this site again (good riddance I hear you say !)Why ? Three of us were sat in the Steve Bull as usual and the atmosphere was like a funeral parlour. We tried to get people singing and enjoying themselves but apart from one little voice somewhere in the distance (about 10 years old)it was like flogging a dead horse !! To make matters worse, while we were celebrating our goal the little old man next to me asked me to sit down !!! and to make matters worse someone behind my lad asked him to sit down. Can you believe that ? Those are the sort of people that come on here and moan. Ireally do despair sometimes.
Anyway great game and great win. Where are all you Keogh knockers now ? I’ve never been a great fan of his but admire the effort he puts in to chasing balls down and generally being a workhorse for the side. Good on yer Andy. Another 3 points on Tuesday and I reckon we’ll only need another 6 or 7 wins. Both B’ham and Reading are gonna make mistakes like we have and like we will and no doubt the negativity will be blossoming again !!

Watched match of the day and didn’t young Mark Davies play well. Looking forward to next season, we should romp the Premier, Davies couldn’t even get in MMs team !!

what a win it should have been more at half time but still was lucky in defence.i think that MM is playing it cool by leaving ccertain players out and trying others because he knows that they will be needed in the run in glad now he has managed to get a defenceder in berra and have heard on the grape vine that the deal has been done to the end of the season for mancine from chelsea but i would have liked it to have been for good.has any one seen how davis played for bolton he was brilliant see what mad mick has let go the stubborn idoit

A win by a two goal margin was just what was needed to boost player confidence and supporter’s faith. SEB and Stearman were outstanding and surely the time must soon be here for Vokes to join the starting line up.
I wonder if Mr McCarthy saw the Bolton Highlights on BBC last night? There was a player called Mark Davies, remember him Mick? He played a blinder in the PREMIER. Had rave reviews from Hansen and Shearer. He has also been highlighted as Man of the Match in the Sunday reviews. Pity he didn’t put in a shift at Wolves, he might just have made the first team then eh! Sorry I forgot he was influenced.
Welcome back Jody Craddock, although a little ring rusty he marshalled the defence superbly all the game,I thought Stearman played well has did most of the team but the biggest influence, from recent games, was the return to form of sylvan ebanks blake, the question is would he have played like that alongside iwelumo on current form
Report abuse
With Berra on his way alongside Stearman we might produce a clean sheet at last!
P.S. Would now like to see a bid for Fryatt at Leicester, £2 million plus Iwelumo should get him.
Why isn’t this in bold?
16:35: Wolves winger Michael Kightly’s finds Andy Keogh in the box, who coolly slots past Loach for the second goal.
This was a figment of the writer’s imagination:
16:52: Wolves striker Chris Iwelumo comes on for Andy Keogh.
i was there Keogh waste of space STOP playing him Mick, and as for Mark Davis he wanted to go after us paying for all his treatment and wages for the last 2 years, Vokes brilliant wins the ball in the air, Sterman was man of the match for me.

ive just txt stearman told him to start out now so he dont miss the game tomorrow.

Despite the result Keogh did not have a good game!
If like we do you two wingers then you need at least on target man,Vokesy or big chris with a foil blakey or Keogh otherwise you dont capitalise on all the crosses and we got a lot of crosses in on saturady!Anyway still a good result more off the asme on tuesday and were on track. From 5pm no more tranfer talk please.

Ledbury. I dont know what game you were at but Keogh was poor. Unless your mistaking hime for SEB who was my man of the match. He won everything, tracked back and scored. He was a different class.
By the way Jez Mozey told me we are still trying to get Mancienne on loan as well as Berra.
You heard it here first.
Get Robbie Keane back, I’m sure he would love to put a gold shirt on again, even if he had to drop wages, at least he would be treated right. And lets face it, McCarthy loves his hardworking type forwards that run everything down.
And for gods sake, we’ll probably get Berra, so instead of mancienne, get a Central Midfielder in!!!!!!!!!!
Keogh FANTASTIC again, but for me, the obvious strike pair that must start is Vokes and Ebanks-Blake, tremendos the pair of them, still need a Centre Mid in though, and for a change Kightly played really well, and putting in some good balls, Jarvis when on, different class. I’m suprised no Premiership club has inquired about him.
Come on Wolves!!!!!!!!!!

Great win puts us back on track little dispute with NORWICH to settle look forward to that-Keep our cool the Dream is very much alive.
Watched the Bolton game only his first but Mark Davies was thrown in at the deep end and performed well-On “Football First” he looked man of the match but – First game at one million there is a suggestion we could have been ROBBED.
Come on you WOLVES======Crazey Dave.Great to see certain comments going away and Baggies not posting-Still they have a lot to post on their own site.
I’m another fan who was actually at the game because I’m an ST holder. Keogh was his usual “headless rabbit” self, trust me. Playing Keogh is as good as playing with one striker, for the most part. He may have scored a well-taken goal but he was pretty anonymous for most of the game. Dunno what some of you lot see in him (but that’s your prerogative, of course), but I see him as a powder-puff who occupies a valuable space that would be better used by giving young Sam Vokes his chance. That boy has the same enthusiasm as Keogh but possesses body strength and a natural striker’s instinct.
I think too many of you fans are so accustomed to mediocrity these days that you can’t tell the difference between “ordinary” and “quality”.
Neither can Mick, it seems.
is it me or did KEOGH not score two goals recently??
Yeah, can’t score can he.
for all of you who think Iwelumo deserves a spot in the team over keogh, when was the last time he scored ay?

Mark Davies should be playing for this wanderers and not Bolton. If we had him in our midfield it would have been like a new signing. He runs with the ball un like the plodding Edwards. We will rue this for a long time, but it does not surprise me as players from the academy will not get a chance under MM. So cheesed off as he was getting the plaudits on MOTD. One villa fan at work said our midfield must be brilliant if wolves had to let davies go. But I mentioned Quashie and he will not stop laughing!

morning morons,

so let me get this straight, when keogh doesn’t score we hear the old “i dont care if he does nothing all game, as long as he scores”. well muppets, thats exactly what he did !! the lad cant win with you though. may be he should pop round your gaff during the game for a cup of tea and you can talk him through his weak points ?

Okay, so we’ve lost out on Mark Davies. It’s disappointing, yes, but he’s history. Move on and stop living in the past. Players come and go so get used to it. Anyone would think he was bigger than the club -even the great Billy Wright didn’t manage that feat, ffs.
I won’t be keeping a close eye on his career, even if some of you fans will. He aint Wolves no more, sad as that may be, so I’ll save my plaudits for players worthy of the shirt and actually contributed something to the cause.

Mark Davies is a sick-note, he barely kicked a ball in anger, was out of contract in the Summer & refused to sign a new one, Jez Moxey getting some money out of Bolton for him was good work, again.
Andy Keogh is obviously a confidence player and you mugs ragging him doesn’t help.

Two years ago when the parachute payments ran out, we could have been heading the same way as Leeds and Leicester. Instead, we’re top – and mostly, that’s thanks to McCarthy.
If you want to criticise his team selection, fair enough, we all like to play ‘manager’ – but why the constant abuse, and why all the negative assumptions on subjects we know next to nothing about (e.g. Davies) ?
Anyway, a big ‘welcome back’ for Jody Craddock, top displays by Stearman and SEB, congratulations to Keogh and Vokes – and well done to McCarthy for bringing on Vokes and taking it to them, when he could have tried to shut up shop.
Finally, a quote from the Watford Manager, Brendan Rodgers: “I like Wolves and Reading and expect them to go up automatically. Wolves play football, have built a great squad and I like what the manager’s doing”.

Just recently been having this debate with my mates, who are WBA fans, and I reckon that Michael Kightly is better than Shaun Wright-Phillips,
So who agrees with me?
This is my view:
Kightly is a better finisher and puts good balls in and runs his socks off.
Wright-Phillips cant cross and doesnt score a lot.
So do the maths
Also check out the stats, Kightly has scored 8 goals and got 15 assists, Wright-Phillips has only scored 6 and got no assists, and is arguably playing with the best side outside the top four, although not performing that way.

I’m so happy we’ve got back to winning ways again and I think we’ve got another couple of very winnable games coming up so no negativity from me………but, but, but….I was at the game on Saturday and although I would NEVER boo a Wolves player Keogh is NOT the right partner for SEB, he’s far too lightweight, wins very little in the air and wants the ball exactly on his foot or he loses possession, even SEB had a go at it him a couple of times on Saturday, he is a squad player at best and Big Chris or Sam are much better suited to play alongside SEB (who is obviously a shoe-in)

Some of the talk on here between fans (who support the same club, ffs!) is absolutely OTT.
We’ve got Keogh “lovers” and “haters”, each arguing like schoolkids about who’s right and who’s wrong. Pathetic in the extreme.
Nobody will never agree 100% of the time where football’s concerned, so why not simply agree to disagree like adults, yeah? It aint difficult, children.
Keogh aint my cup of tea, neither is Collins. One’s too lightweight and the other’s a calamity in waiting. They do their best, I know that, but I don’t think they’re good enough for team we’re assembling. End of story.
It doesn’t stop me from supporting my team on matchday, nor should it you lot. Let’s back every player wearing the Gold and Black on matchday and save the criticism for these pages only.
That’s assuming some of you lot are mature enough to stomach a different opinion to your own? If not, grow up and come back later, kiddies.

Dear Mick those were very strong words you up put out about the supporters that boo Mr Collins. If don’t mind me saying you come across has one of the most stubborn people that was ever put on this earth that may not be true as we can never get close enough to you to find out.
As we understand it, we being the supporter’s are part of this club and most of us have been around for a lot longer than you have.
I am sure the booing is in frustration that you continue to play Mr Collins in defiance when the majority of supporters consider he is not up to the job.
It is not his fault, the team has progressed this season and he has not progressed with them most people can see that week in and week.
You keep playing him only frustrates people to the extent that it ends up with a match between you and the supporters.
One man against twenty five thousand will never win the battle, you are paid a lot of money to do your job and we also pay a lot of money to support wolves so at least get off your high horse and explain your reasons to play Mr Collins in particular to anyone else.
Why do you keep playing someone that the supporters don’t consider good enough to be in the Wolves current team other that for him to be shot at each week?
If you consider that the only time you would like us to give our opinion and comments is at the end of the season then there’s not much point in turning up until the last match.
You can then take all of the credit for the team that you have created but Molineux will be a very sad place, we are not going to sit there every week frustrated while you dictate to us, you are good but not that good.
It had been coming for weeks and the Reading match brought it to a head. Mr Mick Stubborn McCarthy has to be defiant once again but this time what goes around comes around and Mr Collins scores the only goal in the wrong net, gets sent off and we lose the game.
Michael don’t patronise us we all love Wolves and we all would like to know what’s going on with the players and the club within reason. We don’t panic we just want success after twenty years of paying for it so please don’t try to wind us up about booing when you need look no further than your own back door for the reason.

Memo to Mr. Nash at E&S stop having ‘knee-jerk’ reactions to performances. It was only Watford, and we got much tougher games ahead, stay positive but not cocky. Watford weren’t miles away from our performance, they were poor but still they caused us some problems – more than what they did too Reading and they didn’t concede a stupid goal like we did. I personally think this newspaper throughout the season is one who’s being doing the most of counting ‘their Chickens’ routine rather than the fans.

People said that the most brain dead wolves fans came on here, but I had to see some of the idiocy with my own eyes.
CI did more in 5 mins than Keogh did all game are you haveing a laugh?
Most of you arent fit to support a club like wolves and I assume you have never played the game, cause you havent a clue what your talking about.
