Thorley returns to Rangers

Saturday 31st January 2009, 8:34AM GMT.

thorley.jpegStafford have been boosted by the return of loan star Tom Thorley on loan from Stoke for the rest of the season.

The teenager was a big hit in three months spent at Marston Road earlier in the season and was desperate to return to the club to play first-team football.

A versatile player who can play at full-back or in midfield, he is back to help Rangers’ fight against the drop under boss Chris Brindley, who was assistant manager to Steve Bull when Thorley last played for the club.

Thorley is due to return to Stoke on May 2.
