Baggies’ Barnett nets own goal

West Bromwich Albion defender Leon Barnett was today facing a ribbing from his team mates after his karaoke efforts were broadcast on national television.
The 23-year-old centre-back, whose aunt Beverley Trotman is currently singing on stage in Fame, at Wolverhampton’s Grand Theatre, was shown today on Sky’s Soccer AM programme.
They aired a YouTube clip of him singing and dancing to the 80s Musical Youth hit Pass The Dutchie.
Barnett’s aunt Beverley made her name in the television talent show The X Factor in 2007 and is currently starring as Miss Sherman in the show, but he looks unlikely to follow in her footsteps.
