Man found dead after shooting

A man has been found dead in a field by police investigating a shooting in Brewood.
Armed officers were called to a house in Hyde Mill Lane last night where they found a woman who had been shot twice.
An hour later the body of the man was discovered in a field to the rear of the property, close to Port Lane.
Police recovered a gun from the scene and are not looking for anyone else in connection with the shooting.
The injured woman, who police believe is aged 47, was taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.
Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
