Robinson wins red card appeal
Thursday 29th January 2009, 2:05PM GMT.
Albion’s appeal against Paul Robinson’s sending off in Tuesday’s 5-0 defeat by Manchester United has been upheld by the FA.
The left-back was sent off by referee Rob Styles, following a challenge with Ji-Sung Park with United 1-0 ahead.
But the FA have accepted the Baggies’ appeal and the 30-year-old has escaped a three game ban and is available to play at Hull City on Saturday.
Robinson’s presence at the KC Stadium will be of huge importance, with the Baggies facing a defensive crisis at centre-half going into the trip.
Jonas Olsson faces five more weeks out, joining Abdoulaye Meite, Leon Barnett and Neil Clement on the sidelines.
To make matters worse, Pele and Ryan Donk – the only two centre halves still fit – have both missed training.
