wd3195223aldersley-1-tt-22A headteacher has unexpectedly resigned after three years at a Wolverhampton secondary school, it was revealed today.

Tim Perry quit this week with immediate effect from his role at Aldersley High, just days after saying it was a “very exciting time” for the school during an interview with the Express & Star.

Deputy headteacher Nicola Davis has been appointed acting head.

Mr Perry’s personal assistant Sue Hess said today: “After three years of dedicated service at Aldersley High School, Tim Perry has resigned from his position as headteacher for personal reasons.

“Jim Inglis, chairman of governors, accepted his resignation with regret and wishes him well for the future.”

Mr Perry had been busy preparing Aldersley High for the £10 million of funding it is to receive as part of Wolverhampton’s Building Schools for the Future (BSF) scheme that will see the 1970s building completely revamped.
