Families flee blaze at mill

Two families had to flee a fire at their home in an historic Halesowen mill.
Flames gutted a bedroom of the five-storey Lutley Mill, dating back to 1823, at around 8.45 last night.
Minimal damage was caused to the the Grade II listed conversion in Lutley Lane, Halesowen, and 11 firefighters from Halesowen and Cradley quickly brought the blaze under control. A spokeperson said residents were lucky to escape with minimal damage
