Zaaboub hails new Walsall boss
Tuesday 27th January 2009, 11:20AM GMT.
Forgotten Walsall man Sofiene Zaaboub reckons new boss Chris Hutchings has restored his confidence ahead of his return to Swindon.
The winger made his first league start since August in the 1-1 draw with Hereford on Saturday and now has his old club in his sights.
He believes he has been given a new lease of life under manager Hutchings, after a succession of injuries saw his chances limited under former boss Jimmy Mullen.
Zaaboub said: “I’ve got more confidence. The manager gave me all the confidence during the week, so I couldn’t not stay and do my job for him. He has pushed me to do my best.
“I worked harder than ever for the team on Saturday and it’s what the manager wants from all of us, if we want to go forward and play in the play-offs at the end of the season.”
The trip marks the 26-year-old’s first return to Swindon since his summer switch to the Banks’s and he is a certain starter, after his impressive outing on Saturday and the threadbare nature of the Saddlers’ squad.

Play-offs! It’s great to have ambition lads, but sadly it isn’t shared by the chairman…

The club wonder why the fans lose faith with them.
Note to WFC: Please STOP talking about the completely unrealistic aim of reaching the Play Offs.
Tell the fans that this season is a write off and we’re using it as a learning curve for next season, the honesty would be appreciated.
Or use this posting for the players to prove me wrong, because not a single fan of WFC believes w’e'll make the play offs this season.
