TV star Blake on wounding charge

BBC presenter Ashley Blake has been charged with wounding, possession of an offensive weapon and affray after an incident at the bar he owns in Sutton Coldfield.
The face of Inside Out and Midlands Today, aged 39, will be off the air until the case is concluded.
In a statement the BBC said: “The BBC has today met with presenter Ashley Blake and has agreed with him that, until the legal proceedings in which he is involved are concluded, he will not present Inside Out or Midlands Today.”
Police are investigating an incident at The Place 2 B, a licensed premises on Chester Road, Boldmere, in the early hours yesterday, where a 17-year-old man received facial injuries.
Blake owns the premises.
Police said two men would appear before magistrates on February 2.
