Chris Hutchings reign as Walsall manger began with a nail biting draw as the Saddlers were made to sweat by battling Hereford.
Troy Deeney opened the scoring on 33 minutes as after he tapped in from close range but Hereford equalised in the second half through Steve Guinan’s penalty.
It could have been worse for the Saddlers had Ince not pulled off a fantastic second half stop from Guinan and was also relieved to see three Hereford efforts cleared off the line.
