Laursen ruled out for two months

laursen.jpegVilla skipper Martin Laursen is out for two months after having surgery on his troublesome knee.

The influential central defender faces eight weeks out after struggling with the injury in recent weeks, which has forced him to miss four of the last five games for Martin O’Neill’s side.

Carlos Cuellar replaced him at Sunderland last week but is likely to be used at right-back in the FA Cup tie at Doncaster, so Zat Knight is favourite to step in.
