Time to map out a plan for Villa's future

Jarvis happy to extend Wolves stay

Flying winger Matt Jarvis has pledged his long term future to Wolves as the club revealed plans to offer the winger a new contract.
Manager Mick McCarthy revealed earlier this week that he wants to reward the 22-year-old with a new deal. His current terms are due to expire at the end of the season.
Jarvis is delighted that his long-term future is likely to be at Molineux.
He said: “It’s great to be getting offered a new deal. It gives me the stability to know I’m going to be here for however many more years, which is great.
“Fingers crossed, we’ll be in the Premier League next season and I think every player has ambitions of playing in the top flight and I’m no different. It would be great.
“No talks have started yet but the club have told me they want to offer me a new deal. We’ll hopefully start talks soon. I can settle down now and concentrate on my game and that will show in my performances.
“I’m delighted they’re talking about an offer and hopefully now we’ll get it sorted as soon as possible, then I can just carry on and play football.”
Jarvis is looking to continue his recent sizzling form after being man of the match and scoring a rare goal in the 2-2 draw at Blackpool last time out.
He said: “Being injured was a blow, but since I’ve been back, I’ve been enjoying my football.”
The former Gillingham man is thrilled by the reaction he and Michael Kightly get from the Wolves fans.
Jarvis said: “Every time a winger – whoever it is – gets the ball the crowd are behind them, willing them to take someone on or put the ball across to someone.
“I love it , I just love the position I play and being able to take players on. It’s a great feeling when the crowd are behind you. I want to be playing week in week out and play to a high standard.”
