Factory unit hit by blaze

A factory warehouse went up in flames at an industrial park in Cannock.
Nine fire crews from across the area tackled the blaze at plastic injection moulders and mould toolmaker Hi-Spec, based at Advanced Business Park, Burdock Close, Hawks Green.
Crews were sent from fire stations in Cannock, Penkridge, Rugeley, Chase Terrace, Brewood and Stafford to deal with the flames at 10.55pm yesterday.
A dog walker dialled 999 after spotting smoke coming from the building.
Firefighters had extinguished the blaze, at the company’s central warehouse, by 2.35am.
Fire investigators were this morning trying to determine the cause.
