Jarvis issues goals warning

Wolves winger Matt Jarvis has issued a chilling warning to Championship defences: “You ain’t seen nothing yet” after his man of the match heroics against Blackpool.

Jarvis scored Wolves’ second goal and could have had a hat-trick in the 2-2 draw at Bloomfield Road last night.

The 22-year-old was making only his second start since missing 11 games with a torn hamstring and the game was his first 90 minutes since the injury.

Jarvis believes he has plenty more to offer yet, saying: “Hopefully there’s more to come. That was only my second start since coming back and my first 90 minutes, so I’m still getting match-fit.

“I feel I was back on form. I just wanted to keep getting the ball really because I didn’t get as much of it as I would have liked in the first half. Thankfully in the second half I managed to get involved a lot more and hopefully it paid off.

Jarvis’ strike came on his 150th League appearance, but it was only his second in 40 League games for Wolves – a record he is determined to improve.

“It sort of bobbled in but I’ll take that – I’ll take any goal and I want to try to get a few more now,” he said.

“I could have had a hat-trick really with the chances I had, but I was glad to put one away and I thought it was the winner but it wasn’t to be.”

Jarvis played almost all of the game in the right wing and believes he can rival the suspended Michael Kightly for the No 7 role.
