Two are hurt in fighting

Part of Kidderminster was sealed off overnight after a fight left two men injured.

The fight is understood to have involved as many as 12 people at the junction of Gilbert Scott Way and Radford Avenue, Horsefair, at about 8.30pm yesterday.

Police had reports of two men being assaulted by  youths and a 35-year-old man was taken to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital, Worcester, with serious head and facial injured.

He was later transferred to Walsgrave Hospital, Coventry. A man, 33, taken to to the minor injuries unit at Kidderminster Hospital with facial injuries left after treatment.

Police said a youth was arrested on suspicion of assault and was assisting with inquiries.
