Man in court over DJ’s death

A man has appeared before magistrates today to face allegations relating to the murder of a Darlaston DJ whose dismembered and headless body was found in a canal in Wolverhampton.
Barry Lee Davis, aged 28, appeared at Walsall Magistrates Court charged with one count of intent to pervert the course of justice.
The case relates to the death of of 31-year-old David Daly, pictured, who had been cut up into at least 11 parts and dumped in the stretch of water off Cannock Road Park Village.
His remains were recovered in March this year, but Mr Daly had been reported missing in December 2007.
Mr Daly, who stayed at addresses in Heath Town and Darlaston, had worked as a DJ at the Green Dragon pub, near Walsall Market.
The body of Mr Daly, who stayed at addresses in Heath Town and Darlaston, was found cut up into at least 11 parts in the canal off Cannock Road in March.
Davis, of Stow Heath Lane, Wolverhampton was refused bail.
The magistrates adjourned the case.
