Seasonal songs will be filling the airwaves above Wolverhampton as a local radio station plays non-stop Christmas crackers until December 28.
Wolverhampton Community Radio 101.8FM will be playing nothing but festive favourites from 7am until 7pm.
As well as the classics by Cliff Richard and Slade, the station will also be broadcasting lesser-known Christmassy compositions from the worlds of country music, jazz and RNB.
Station manager Steve Morris said: “Last year, we had the great idea of playing nothing but Christmas tunes during the run-up to the big day and it went so well we decided to repeat it again.
“From 7am until 7pm, there will be nothing but Christmas music and we’ve got some real hidden gems that may surprise people.
“For the next month, WCR no longer stands for Wolverhampton Community Radio but Wonderful Christmas Radio.”
Mr Morris added he hoped the songs would get the entire city into the Christmas spirit.
“There will be even more festive shows and event happening closer to Christmas Day itself,” he said.
