Bouma targets New Year return
Tuesday 18th November 2008, 12:48PM GMT.
Villa defender Freddie Bouma has pencilled in a return to first-team action in early 2009.
The Holland left-back is still recovering from the horrific ankle dislocation suffered in the Intertoto Cup tie with Odense BK in July but revealed he hopes to return to training before the turn of the year.
The 30-year-old is not putting a time frame on a return to competitive action.
He said: “I am on track. I hope to be back in training this year, but I will not be ready for games.”
