Youngsters at a Wolverhampton nursery have collected cash for the Children In Need Appeal with a hair raising stunt.
They were allowed to give good grooming the brush off for the day yesterday in a good cause.
Around 40 children and staff arrived with crazy hair styles and colours at Kiddicaru at Glengarry nursery in Finchfield Road, Finchfield.
Nursery manager Sam Adams said: “It was a great success. Some children came with glitter in their hair while others had it sprayed pink and yet more sported pig tails.”
Brave Sam transformed her normal shoulder length locks by adopting all three new styles but stressed: ” I am assured that the dye will come out.”
The nursery raised around £40 with the crazy hair day and has a variety of other Children In Need fund raising events planned for the rest of the week.
These include a spots and stripes day while members of staff are chipping in with personal challenges. Lucy Andrews intends to fast for the day and Vicky Howell aims to raise a further £50 by hopping around a park.
