Fans of American funnyman Rich Hall were treated to a special night of nostalgia and comedy at Wolverhampton’s Wulfrun Hall.

For the first time since 2002, Hall’s comedy character Otis Lee Crenshaw was brought back to life for the second half of the show to rapturous applause.

Once again the grizzled ex-con country singer, based upon neighbourhood characters of Hall’s native North Carolina, was present with his band to display an hilarious repertoire of anthems.

Bearing his confederate flag bandanna, Crenshaw delighted fans last night with tongue-in-cheek redneck humour.

Out of character, Hall’s dry delivery sent waves of laughter throughout the hall. Without breaking a smile, Hall highlighted the hilarious side of life.
