Pensioner, 73, slashed

A pensioner was slashed with a knife and robbed of his mobile phone after being attacked in a Wolverhampton street.
The 73-year-old was targeted in Lambert Road, Fallings Park, at around 9.25pm last night by a yob riding a mountain bike. He was taken to New Cross Hospital where he was treated for cuts before being released.
Police cordons were today put up in the street. The thug is described as black, in his late 20s to early 30s, around 5ft 8” tall and was wearing dark clothing and a hat.
