Walsall Libraries and Heritage have launched a family competition to celebrate the famous Black Country dialect.
The competition is called Werd yo’ cum from? and is being offered through all Walsall Libraries and the Local History Centre, in support of the National Year of Reading campaign.
Walsall Libraries has set the challenge for local people to find the origin of 20 local words and phrases used by our forefathers in times past.
Video Journalist Nicky Butler hit the streets of Walsall to see how much you understand our Black Country dialect and which words and phrases are your favourite.
