Albion suffered late heartbreak as former Wolves midfielder Keith Andrews grabbed a late equaliser for 10-man Blackburn at the Hawthorns.

The Irishman struck with less than two minutes to go, to deny the Baggies three vital points after three successive defeats.

Strike pair Roman Bednar and Ishmael Miller had answered their critics with a goal each but it was not enough to give Albion victory.

Miller looked set to grab the glory with a brilliant goal just after the hour mark, seven minutes after setting up Bednar to draw the Baggies level.

The goals for the forward duo were reward for a dominant start to the second half from the Baggies, against a Blackburn side left reeling by Benni McCarthy’s red card, after he had opened the scoring from the penalty spot.

    Good Evening

    What a appalling referee!!!

I didnt see a very good view of the incident in the first half when Donk “apparently” pulled Roberts shirt. i didnt see a Blackburn player even appeal!!

Good goal from Bedders and a classics strike form Ish :)Sloppy defending in the last minute!!

Mr Hackett sort the Referee problem now before its too late.

We have no defenders and if TM continues to play this way we will be down. The whole bac four have not got a tackle in them and while we were still wining Robinson insisted on playing shirt passes in dangerous areas instaed of clearing his lines as did the midfield. There is a time to play and a time to hoof it and we have not got the brains to decide which is which. Donk should never be nar the fisr team again he gets caught the wrong side too often get Barnet back in our best defender by a mile. He cant pass water but he can defend. This result was embarrasing agaist a 10 man team for more than half the game. I find it hard to criticise TM but unless he smells the coffee soon the crowd will turn.

I see views on the actual game are conspicuous by their absence, so i wont bother with OUR game either.

Driving back from the game, i was listening to WM`s commentary of Cardiff v ***** Paul Franks was saying a quality game with two quality teams.
I watched these two quality teams slug out the second half on Sky sports.

Has there been a reinvention to the meaning of the word quality ?
The ball must be suffering with bird flu it spent so much time in the air.

We will start seeing who the supporters are now and who the part timers are. No it wasn’t a great performance, I’m sure that if any players don’t know that, then they are being told. TM was a good manager up until a few weeks ago, has he really become poor overnight? Don’t go down the road of Merlin Mowbray when we win and Muppet Mowbray when we lose.
I thought Bednar had a tremendous game and never stopped working. Miller is the ultimate confidence player, having got his goal on Tuesday his all round game and decision making looked better on Saturday and hopefully he will now get the goals we hoped he would.
It comes to something when Oldburyite, who I don’t think is an Albion fan has a more balanced view than some of our own who I’m sure were showering praise on the manager when things were going well. As I said last week, ‘we’ll support you evermore’ after Fulham game, nowhere to be seen at the end of Hull game.
STAY WITH THE TEAM. This is our club. I don’t care what Wolves do or what Wolves fans think. I’m a Baggie and I support the Albion. I’ve done it in the past through thin and thin, some of you should try it now when at least there has been some thick with the thin.

In all fairness the 1st half was very good whilst the second was a bit of a non event which suited us really.
Now what did you lot think of the penalty?? I saw it on MOTD and it just seemed a stupid thing to do so close to the ref. I may be biased but if the ref sees it and doesnt give it he would have ben wrong.
Keith Andrews getting the equaliser did make us all laugh though. 1 plus point for you is Millers 2 goals in 2 and what a goal it was. Maybe he can kick on as i think you will be bottom after your next two games.

The Ref obviously wants to get a name for himself and I’m sure Ross and Brand could suggest quite a few. Did you hear Saint Alan on MOTD? Yes, Donk held Roberts’ shirt, did he impede him? Roberts didn’t think so, but goody two shoes Shearer supported the “newbie”.

If that was a penalty why didn’t Miller get one later on when he hit the post just after the Blackburn’s No. 6 grabbed his shirt? Farce! Keith Hackett’s muppets are turning football into a lottery.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.

No unit at the back,4 individuals, three of whom are “fancy-dans” the other a Championship player with no cohesion or leader.Look at Hull City, look at Stoke City – they have defensive UNITS!

No enforcer in midfield,Blackburn had one,he is a Div 1 player BUT he did what enforcers do,tackle, harry when not in posession, and WIN THE BALL!

Up front,no target man and no cutting edge although better than recently.

By January we could be 6-10 points adrift of safety,as a yo-yo club who will we attract then?? other than more fancy dan mercinaries!

The ref, to the letter of the law was correct, but then he has a duty to be consistent in his descision making, and needless to say…..he wasn`t.
The fact that these shirt tugging incidents are NEVER penalised, was etched all over Jason Roberts face, he was as bemused as anyone.

As for the sending off…well to the letter of the law, the ref called it right again, but in reality the descision was pure farce,
i`m sure that the words consistency, common sense and referee should never clash in the same sentance, hence their equaliser should never have stood after Roberts had dumped Olsson on his backside.

McCarthy should never have been sent off for them either, and how the Ref didn’t see Roberts foul on Olsson just before they scored is beyond me. That was the worst refereeing display I have ever seen!!

Listen guys’s this is a marathon and not a sprint. Yes it was disapointing to draw when we should have won. For Incey to say they would have won if Benni Macarthy is a joke. Blackburn were shocking. A dubious penalty and a joke second goal, gave them a share of the spoils, which they should not have had.

Oh one thing is why do supporters leave early when we are 2-1 up and the team need vocal support. In all my years os supporting Albion what ever the score have never left early.

If penalties are given for that, then we can expect most matches to be decided by which team scores the most spot-kicks and proven penalty takers will be fetching £20M+ transfer fees! By applying the absolute letter of the law defenders shepperding out the ball for a goal-kick will penalised for obstruction (because technically IT IS despite it never being given dozens of times a game!) and matches wiil finish with just a couple of thousand well behaved supporters who didn’t get thrown out for swearing!

    Well said 21.

Perhaps no.27 should read your post and think about actually supporting the team, rather than being wise after the event.

Someone once said “it’ll get worse before it gets better” and given the next 3 games are L/Pool (A) Chelsea (H) & Stoke (A) i’d say its a safe bet we’ll be bottom of the pile at the end of that lot! But i always look at the bigger picture, I didn’t get carried away after back to back wins put us up to 3rd, and i can see us picking up a good few points in the fixtures that follow the stoke game. I dont think for a minute the Fulhams & Boltons of this league will have opened up a gap by then, so i reckon we-ll be coming back out the bottom 3 around mid-december. Don’t forget others will have nightmare runs of fixtures too and we have players like Meite, Kim & Tex to come back. Keep the Faith!

Well you have to look at is this way dingles, IF we do go down and IF you do go up do you seriously think you have a better chance of stopping up than we do? Come on. How many times do we have to beat you, finish higher than you in the league and be in a league above you for you lot to realise that we have a superior team, management and just pretty much everything compared to you.

Lets analize your great team :-

Ebanks Blake – Might actually score a few in the prem, good player.

Iwelumo – LOL – Never scored more than 15 goals at this level, Bednar scored more than that in half a season.

Kightly – If he stays fit, might make the jump

Jarvis – Not enough quality on final ball.

The rest of your sqaud is not worth even talking about they are so far off Prem quality.
