Time to map out a plan for Villa's future

Iwelumo gunning for Swans
Tuesday 28th October 2008, 11:03AM GMT.
Chris Iwelumo has vowed to show Swansea the ‘real Wolves’ as Mick McCarthy’s men go gunning for revenge.
Three weeks after Wolves were soundly beaten 3-1 at the Liberty Stadium, the Swans are in opposition again.
The last time the sides met, an unfamiliar Wolves were without eight players as they were found wanting against Roberto Martinez’s side.
Iwelumo – one of three key players available for tonight who weren’t able to play at Swansea – has warned the Welshmen they face a different prospect at Molineux.
He said: “We want to show Swansea the ‘real Wolves’ and how we can play. It was a different matter when we went to the Liberty Stadium, so we’re all looking forward to the game.
“We’ll go into the Swansea game in a positive frame of mind – we’re at home, the fans are going to be awesome again and we’ll move forward.
“Hopefully against Swansea it will be a different matter and we’ll play the way we want to play.”
Iwelumo is looking for Wolves to tighten up defensively after more errors plagued their performance in Saturday’s 3-2 win at Watford.
He said: “It was a scrappy game and we knew it as going to be a battle. We made it harder for ourselves which is something we’ve got to address.
“The boys at the back have to be solid because we’re trying to score goals every game. We know we’re not always going to be able to do that, but we’ve got the balance right.
“We’ve just got to make sure we’re disciplined and we know our responsibilities on the pitch. But it just shows the character we’ve got.
“We were glad to get the points – especially after they missed the penalty.”
