After holding their own for the first 45 minutes, Walsall succumbed to goals from Luciano Beechio and a brace from Fabian Delph in the second-half.
The tunring point came when they conceded a corner in the second-half. Although the kick was cleared, it bounced off Boertien and straight into the path of Becchio, who slid in ahead of Ince to score from three yards.
It was all downhill after that, Delph’s quickfire brace capping a miserable day for the Saddlers.
