An extra Roger Taylor photo for Scott (see Comment 10) – not the best quality, as we’ve had to go (in the words of Wayne’s World) extreme close-up!
AWESOME!
Saw them on the previous tour and loved ‘em…last night was even better!
This review is spot on.
Looking forward to Liverpool Echo Arena tomorrow!

Queen + Paul Rodgers, speaks for itself, words just fail me.

Fantastic sound and show – I loved the fact that as well as Freddie, there were a few shots of John Deacon on the video that accompanied BoRap. The whole concert was a night to remember, but marred slightly by the real access and parking problems we encountered.
Great review – totally agree.

Nothing compares to the music these guys create and their live performances. They are the best…period.

Hope to bump into you BigBuerdro at Liverpool on Saturday night, can’t wait, saw them twice on the last tour in Manchester and Hyde Park, brilliant. Love the album and the show looks awesome on youtube, I going to Manchester aswell, Id have gone to Brum myself and other dates if it wasn’t for the bloody credit crunch. I particularly looking forward to this one as I saw my first Queen gig (of 4 with Freddie) at Liverpool Empire in 79 on the crazy tour so this one will be the first in the Pool since then…ah nostalgia, glad you enjoyed the gig.Love the review aswell, makes a change from the media.
Cheers

Queen & Paul Rogers were absolutely FANTASTIC. My 3rd time to see Queen – 1st time for my husband and 2 teenage sons who all thought they were awesome !! Truly spectacular, moving, great guitar we all just loved the show. When can we see them again ???

This is the first reveiw I’ve read that recognises this is a collaboration and not Rodgers replacing Freddie. Everyone there had an amazing time. My personal favourite part was Brian May and Roger Taylor starting off ’39 with a guitar and bass drum and being joined by Rodgers, Edney, Miranda and the other guy from Whitesnake in a most fantastic rendition. I just wish I could see it all over again tonight!

Oh my God!!! The concert was amazing, I was in tears when the video clips of Freddie Mercury came on with him singing Bohemian Rhapsody.

Incredible performances by all the band.I was at the frontof the arena right under the speakers and had a problem hearing Paul Rodgers voice in some of the opening songs.Did anyone else have the same. But they were fantastic well worth the trip from the valleys.

Hey Scott, Ian the photographer (and reviewer) here. I think you’ll find there are two pix with Roger on! I was with the press pack, who only get the first three songs to photograph before we’re kicked off – now if only those nice Queen chaps had given me a photo pit pass for the whole gig there would be Roger pix galore, especially from the drum solo, I’m In Love With My Car, A Kind Of Magic and Say It’s Not True section. Maybe next time . . . ;-)

Just come back from Liverpool…sensational !! What a wonderful concert…I’ve seen Queen many times and am enjoying them now as ever before…one small whinge…”Can’t get enough” “Wishing Well” ” Feel like making love ” with May on guitar…surely there’s a spot !! Anyway 10/10 … Liverpool rocks

Saw them in Antwerp in 2005 and in both Antwerp and Luxembourg this year. Hey, they know how to rock the house, the street, … and the cosmos…
Unforgettable!

I absolutely adored the concert. Paul Rodgers was much better than I expected and all of the band were spot on. Freddie was, of course, sadly missed. A totally enjoyable night and the whole crowd threw themselves into singing and dancing along!

I saw the Liverpool show last night and can honestly say it was one of the most emotional concerts I have ever been to. I was sceptical of Paul Rodgers singing Queen songs so did not go to the last tour….but last night….wow. I can only say that this review could have been the Liverpool show. The band AND crowd were amazing. I saw Queen with FM several times and this show was equally memorable. One very happy Queen fan!

Great show at the NIA but we couldn’t hear very well at all, the sound was awful. We were all shouting out “We can’t hear you”, spoilt a good show. We were up in upper block 4. It was like listening to the music in a tunnel! Still enjoyed seeing Brian & Roger as never got to see FM.
