Reo-Coker rubbishes exit talk

reo-coker.jpegNigel Reo-Coker today rubbished suggestions he is eyeing a return to London.

Weekend reports indicated the 24-year-old, who arrived on a four-year deal from West Ham a year ago, would snub a new deal and quit the West Midlands next summer to return home to the capital.

The midfielder admits he was angered by the article but points to his recent form as proof he is happy at Villa Park.

“It makes me laugh, I don’t see how you could seriously consider that a story,” said Reo-Coker. “I haven’t spoken to the manager but the coaches were singing ‘London Calling’ when they saw me.

“They were giving me banter, that shows they don’t take it seriously.

“It’s frustrating to see those stories when Villa are trying to push into the top four. There were no quotes.

“If I didn’t want to leave London I wouldn’t have left West Ham. I’m not stupid. To be honest, I’m really angry about it, it’s causing fuss and destruction.”
