Time to map out a plan for Villa's future

Wolves trio could all return
Monday 6th October 2008, 11:30AM BST.
Wolves are set to receive a much-needed boost with the return of Michael Kightly and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake – as well as Chris Iwelumo – for the visit of Coventry after the international break.
Boss Mick McCarthy believes Kightly and Ebanks-Blake, who missed Saturday’s second successive defeat against Swansea through injury, will be fit for the clash against the Sky Blues on October 18.
Iwelumo, who is one of seven players now on international duty, is also available after his three-match ban.
McCarthy said: “Sylvan has been struggling. He won’t be fit this week as he’s damaged his medial ligaments, but we should have him fit for two weeks’ time.
“Chris has had his three-match ban, and I think ‘Kights’ will be fit. Having those players would make a huge difference.
“But for all the players missing, we didn’t play well enough at Swansea, we didn’t pass the ball well enough or maintain possession well enough to win. We’re keen now to get players back.
“Stephen Ward played with an injection in his ribs. We’ve got seven away on international duty and if they’re not away, they’re injured, but the break has come at a good time for us.”
