Time to map out a plan for Villa's future

Hereford 0 Walsall 0 – verdict
Saturday 4th October 2008, 5:01PM BST.
Walsall extended their unbeaten run to four matches but they were made to work hard by Hereford as both sides drew a blank at Edgar Street.
The Saddlers went into the game on a three-match winning stretch against the bottom side in League One – but it was the hosts who impressed the most.
Alex Nicholls went close three times in the first half and Clayton Ince had to save smartly from Bradley Hudson-Odoi on the stroke of half-time.
After the break, the Bulls dominated but could not break down Walsall defence, who breathed a sigh of relief when Paul Boertien stopped a certain goal.

HEREFORD AWAY 041008
A nil nil game we saw,
but not at all a game to bore.
Another clean sheet for us,
one point and on the bus.
The bulls knew we’d be good,
their defence, firm they stood.
The first half saw us play,
struggled for a goal, we did today.
They could have snatched the points,
as Clayton felt it in his joints.
But the team it pulled together,
their second half pressure, we did weather.
Results around us good,
Fifth place is where we’re stood!
