Time to map out a plan for Villa's future

Jabo will not change nature
Friday 3rd October 2008, 11:30AM BST.
Walsall striker Jabo Ibehre insists he will not change his robust nature because it would take away a massive part of his game.
The 25-year-old has already picked up four bookings and a fifth would mean a game ban, so he is walking a disciplinary tightrope ahead of the trip to Hereford United.
Saddlers manager Jimmy Mullen has spoken about calming Ibehre down bu he insists he cannot be tamed.
Ibehre said: “I like to go out to win and if you take that out of someone then you haven’t got the same person.
“There is not much I can do, because I can’t go into games being relaxed and I will be giving 110 per cent.
“I’m a cool guy off the pitch but on the pitch I want to win. If someone winds you up or takes the mickey then the red mist might come down.”
The former Leyton Orient frontman knows he must be aware of his penchant for a physical challenge but admits he does get wound up by opposition defenders.
He said: “Some of the bookings have been a bit stupid, like for argy bargy rather than tackles, so if I can cut that out I will be okay.
“Sometimes things go on that the referee and fans do not see, like you get smashed in the back of the neck, so it does wind you up a little bit.
“If it is going to come, it is going to come. What I might have to do is be a little bit more cautious and make sure I don’t get booked for something silly like dissent”
Ibehre, who has scored three times this season, heads to Edgar Street after breaking his mini goal drought of five games in the 2-1 win over Carlisle last week.
