Simply Red have announced a date at Birmingham’s LG Arena on Saturday March 28, 2009, as part of their Greatest Hits Tour.

The band, led by soulful red head Mick Hucknall, release their best-off collection, Simply Red: Greatest Hits 25, this November.

Beginning in Australia on February 5, the tour takes in New Zealand, Chile, Brazil, Mexico and America (including a date New York’s Radio City Music Hall) before arriving in Birmingham.

Tickets priced £40 and £45 plus booking and transaction fee go on sale at 9am on Friday, October 3.

Greatest Hits 25 comprises 25 tracks on a double CD, and includes a brand new cover of The Moody Blues classic, Go Now, to be released as a single November 10. A limited edition three-disc set, with a 25-track DVD, will also be available.
