Swimming superstar Eleanor Simmonds who won two gold medals at the Paralympic Games has been asked to switch on Walsall’s Christmas lights.
The teenager has been approached by Walsall Council who want her to help light up the town for the festive season.
Eleanor’s father Steve today said his daughter would love to turn on the lights for Christmas and the family are now checking to see if Eleanor, aged 13, can fit it in between school and training commitments.
