Two killed in coach crash

Two people have died and six people from the Black Country, including a teenager and a young child from a marching band, were injured when a coach collided with a car and camper van.
The children, from Pelsall, were on their way to a marching band contest.
The coach driver from a company in Burntwood was one of the injured people and was kept in hospital in Scarborough overnight.
The collision between the coach, carrying 55 passengers, and car happened at the Staxton Hill junction on the A64 near Scarborough in North Yorkshire yesterday at 9am.
No-one was in the camper van.
The coach, run by Burntwood based 1 4 You Coaches, was travelling down Staxton Hill when it collided with a car, ploughed through a hedge, into a nearby paddock and hit a camper van.
A man and a woman in a grey VW Passat died at the scene, North Yorkshire Police confirmed.
The children on the bus, believed to be members of the Walsall based marching band West Midland Crystalettes, were on their way to the Primrose Valley Holiday Park near Filey.
Six people on the bus suffered minor injuries and four were taken to Scarborough District Hospital. The hospital confirmed they were brought in for checks were sent home yesterday afternoon.
