swifts.jpgStourport Swifts boss Neil Hunt is desperate for a reaction from his players at Aylesbury United as they bid to get FA Cup humiliation out of their system.
The Swifts were trounced 7-0 by Shepshed Dynamo in the FA Cup first qualifying round in their last outing and Hunt wants to see his players prove their worth.

He said: “They are in the top four but have played five or six games and we have only played four but, to be honest, we have got to be looking for a reaction from last week, no matter who it is.

“Shepshed were as good a side at this level as I have seen but we threw the towel in too easily, to lose 7-0 is very embarrassing.

“I can accept we play against sides better than us. We are all entitled to one bad game but for 11 players to have it in the same game, even the senior players, isn’t good.”

Hunt is set to hand Lee Downing his debut for the Swifts after signing him from Bromsgrove Rovers this week.

He added: “There will be changes, we have four or five players away this weekend. Yet football has got a good way of saying you will be alright and we wíll probably win 1-0 now.”
