Wolves tribute to Bill

Wolves legend Bill Shorthouse will be remembered before the team’s match against Crystal Palace tonight.
A minute’s silence will be held before the 7.45pm kick-off at Molineux. Mr Shorthouse’s wife Betty and sons Paul and Nigel will be guests of honour.
The star, who grew up in Bilston and lived in Henwood Road, Compton, died aged 86 at Orchard House nursing home in Penn Fields on September 6 where he was receiving care.

They need to be looking at doing more than that ie a mural on the Subway/Stadium wall, for example. Although I was too young, the Wolves team of the 50′s must be the greatest team to ever come from the West Midlands!

Top man.
Saw him play over 50 years ago.Possibly the best fullback ever to play for Wolves.

one of the greatest players to ever wear the old gold and black, my dad took me to watch the wolves in the fifties and what a side.Everyone talks of the great forwards we had but for me the defence which bill was a member of was magnificent.there were no superstars in that team but great players
