American indie rockers The Dandy Warhols will play Wulfrun Hall in Wolverhampton on December 13, 2008.American indie rockers The Dandy Warhols will play Wulfrun Hall in Wolverhampton on December 13.

Formed in Portland, Oregon, the Dandy Warhols (comprising Courtney Taylor-Taylor, Zia McCabe, Peter Holmstrom and Brent De Boer) were heavily influenced by The Rolling Stones, The Velvet Underground and The Beatles.

Despite having played storming sets to worldwide audiences since 1995, the band’s successful reputation was sealed in the UK when their song ‘Bohemian Like You’, described as “a joyful barrage of anthemic indie-pop”, was featured in a Vodaphone advertising campaign.

Their music has since been used in a variety of adverts and television series’, including American shows like The O.C, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Six Feet Under, as well as British TV shows like Teachers.

The Dandys’ albums Thirteen Tales from Urban Bohemia, Welcome to the Monkey House and The Odditorium were met with critical acclaim, and with this year’s album …Earth to the Dandy Warhols receiving rave reviews throughout the music press, 2008 has been one of their best years yet.

* The band will play at the Wulfrun Hall on December 13, 2008, at 6pm. Tickets are priced £20 *
