Although the country has a feel good factor when England do well ( and boy did they play well last night) Wolves winning something would be so much better. England winning the World Cup or Wolves winning the FA Cup? No contest, me babbies would win every time.

CLUB any day of the week i find internationals dull and boring however we played well last night but me thinks it wont last. i can watch my club i cant watch my country without setantatata

We played a bit better than we usually do and they played a lot worse than normally do, add the two together = average.
Dont go overboard about it, 4-1 or 1-0 a win is a win, I know that, but if they had played to their normal standard and finished with 11 men, it would have been a totally different story. Oh and before you all say it!! No I am not being negative, I am being realistic.

CLUB – no question really.
Yes it’s great when England do well and the whole pub/country gets together, BUT, you cannot beat the banter between rival fans on the success or failure of your own team.

Is a tricky one i discussed yeasterday with a friend. I have followed baggies home and away all my life. But maybe its just me but my love for country is overiding. Given the choice fo seeing albion win the FA cup of england the world cup. it would be the three lions for me.
What is fortunate though is i don’t have to choose

Lamplighter, sorry you are being negative. We were much the better team when it was 11 v 11 and would still have won. Even their one goal should not have counted, have you ever seen a more obvious free kick for the head high lunge at John Terry? I am not saying we will win the next World Cup but last night we were excellent.

It has to be the National by far, im sorry for those who say club and i really disagree with you. Now if all the wolves and the other local team players were from Birmingham and the Black Country born and bread i would say they should be on equal terms. But how many players are actually from the area? I believe that’s how football should be. With England when they are doing well I have a better sense of pride. I beleive the only reason people say club is that you wont be as dissapointed if your club team loses rather than the national.
I cannot believe ITV payed 140 million for those highlights are they mad? imagine how much sentana payed becasue apparently Itv only contributed to the cost. Why should our free to air stations have to pay that much? national games should all be on free to air so we all can take pride and watch. Someone should own up and take charge becasue football is fast becoming a over hyped farce.
A part of me don’t want the lower leagues in the prem becasue everything that the local teams have to offer would just turn into a money pit, the fans will be less considered.
I am not a true supporter of any club team but like to see the local ones do well. But all in all I think football is a rip off and the players should get payed similar to what the None League gets. At least England from what bit I did see actually showed some passion and pride this time around. I am not sure if they get payed to play for the national team but if they do they should play for little or give the money to a good cause. So it brings passion, pride and a sense of well being knowing that they are playing for the country and to help others.
