All the latest transfer gossip on Wolves, Albion, Villa, Walsall and Blues.

We have scoured the back pages and the internet to bring you the latest gossip.

We are not saying they’re true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

Wolves hope to tie up the signings of Norwich’s Jason Shackell and Preston left-back Matt Hill today.

ALBION

Portsmouth striker David Nugent has emerged as a late link with Albion, on loan for the rest of the season with a view to a £3million permanent move.

Albion have made a £4million bid for Real Mallorca’s 20-year-old Argentine striker Oscar Trejo.

VILLA

Reading striker Kevin Doyle could be on his way to Villa for £7.5million.

Swedish striker Henrik Larsson has rejected a move back to the Premier League after being linked with Everton, West Ham and Villa.

WALSALL

Saddlers boss Jimmy Mullen is anxious to get a defender and a striker in before the end of the transfer window today.

Mullen will not have to make a decision on trial defender Gary Breen, as the player is unattached and can join at any time.

BLUES

The Blues are focusing on bringing in a central defender before the end of play today – with Walsall defender Anthony Gerrard the most probable.
