Ronnie stars for Milford Hall

wicket_keeper.jpgLeft-arm spinner Ronnie Hira took six wickets as Milford Hall extended their lead at the top with a 10-wicket thrashing of Springvale.

Tom Chew’s side were bowled out for just 56, with Hira taking 6-19 and James Griffiths finishing with figures of 4-17.

The game was sewn up in no time at all, as openers Stuart Phazey (26no) and Paul Hollinshead (27no) did the necessary damage.

A club spokesman said: “Our bowlers were superb.”

Beacon derailed Brewood’s title hopes with a seven-wicket victory.

Chris Guest’s side were bowled out for just 60 before Beacon turned on the style, reaching their target for the loss of just three wickets as they moved into sixth.

Bloxwich claimed a seven-wicket win over Swindon in the battle of the bottom two.

Swindon, who prop up the table, were bowled out for 151 and Bloxwich sealed the success with a six for the loss of just three wickets.
