From robots to animated creatures and an outstanding, innovative light show, hip-hop legend Kanye West’s groundbreaking Glow in the Dark tour hits Birmingham NEC Arena on Saturday, November 15.
Tickets go on sale this Friday (August 29) at 9am.
West’s Glow in the Dark show has achieved critical acclaim cross the world and this will be the first time UK fans can watch the new show that has been touring the globe.
West’s atypical hip hop set design includes a robot designed by acclaimed artist Christian Colon, creatures designed by the legendary Jim Henson creature store, as well as Daft Punk’s Pyramid.
The LA Times reviewer said: “The hip-hop star may or may not have been thinking about Richard Wagner’s epic Ring cycle when he decided to turn his Glow in the Dark tour into an apocalyptic space opera.”, while the New York Times reported: “Mr. West’s set was the most daring arena spectacle hip-hop has yet produced, and in some ways the best.”
Bridging the worlds of pop and hip hop, Kanye West is considered by many as rap’s most innovative and inventive artist.
His most recent album, 2007′s The Graduation, is laden with futuristic-electro beats featured alongside West’s signature wordplay and catchy hooks.
