Edwards eyes top two spot

Dave Edwards insists Wolves have the depth of squad to maintain their top-two spot through the season.
Edwards was on the scoresheet for the second successive week coming off the bench and his strike sealed a 2-0 win that took Wolves to second spot after three League games.
“We’ve definitely got enough to be in the top two come the end of the season,” said the Welsh international.
“I’m very confident we can keep it going. When the new boys came in in the summer and you looked at the depth of the squad, it’s unbelievable and the lads looked so strong on Saturday.”
Unbeaten Wolves have started the season with two wins and a draw in the Championship, scoring eight goals in the process but Edwrds says the team can still improve.
“We’re playing very well but we’re still not at our best – if people saw us in training they could see how fast we move the ball,” he added. “Hopefully we can bring that into our play to give us even more confidence.
“In training, all the lads come off the field absolutely knackered because we’re forced to play at such a high tempo and it’s showing on a Saturday.
“That work’s only going to benefit us because you have to be more of a passing team to get out of this league.”
