Little to rejoin Northampton

mark-little.jpegWolves right-back Mark Little is set to rejoin Northampton on a three-month loan in time to play tomorrow’s clash against Millwall.

The 19-year-old is highly thought of at the Sixfields Stadium, having made 17 appearances for the Cobblers during a loan spell last season, with manager Stuart Gray already voicing his intention this week to bring him back to the club.

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy admits that Little needs to play first-team football.

He said: “He’ll be going there on loan for three months but there’s always a recall clause after the first 28 days. We haven’t got a massive squad of players but he needs to play some football.

“We’re fine in that position at the moment, so we do it for 93 days but there’s 24-hour recall after 28 days. I’m not sure it’s relevant what’s on his contract.”
