Time to map out a plan for Villa's future

Whelan back for Himley
Friday 1st August 2008, 6:00AM BST.
Himley welcome back Worcestershire paceman Chris Whelan against Leamington Spa as they look to get back into the title picture.
The former Middlesex seamer has been made available by the Pears to play for his club. Captain Greg Wright hopes he can give them an extra dimension against the strugglers.
He said: “He gives us some real pace and penetration that could make the difference. It’s unfortunate for Cameron Fox, who is making way. His attitude is superb.”
Captain Wright will order his third-placed team to ignore the clash of the top two, as his side entertain third-from bottom Leamington tomorrow.
Wright still believes his team can bridge the 57-point gap to leaders Barnt Green in their eight remaining matches.
He knows they cannot be distracted by thoughts of the pace-setters, who face second-placed Walsall.
Wright said: “You would have to say it will be difficult to catch Barnt Green but lots of things are possible and they could slip up.
“It’s important that we only think about our own match because we can’t control what goes on in the other game.”
