bingohall.jpgA bingo hall in Oldbury has become the latest to apply to bring in cash-boosting gambling machines.

The town’s branch of Mecca Bingo has now submitted applications to Sandwell Council for licences to introduce two ‘Adult Gaming Centres.’

It would involve creating mini-amusement arcades within the Halesowen Road hall, which could host high-value slot machines.

It is the second venue in the borough to make such an application, following in the footsteps of Mecca Bingo Hall in Wednesbury which applied for an adult gaming centre earlier this month.

Under new gambling laws, bingo halls and similar premises can apply for an unlimited number of gaming areas where up to four big money slot machines can be installed with possible cash payouts of around £500.
