Only two goals separated Penn Outsiders and DK Ladies at the final whistle in Division 1 of Wolverhampton City Netball League at the weekend.

The shooting by Penn’s sisters, Tracy Ash and Nicky Spittle, as well as DK’s Sheila Wilmore and Helen Parkes was top class in a hard fought game.

Likewise the goal-scoring of Stephanie Rowntree and Becky Peake of Baileys along with Deb Corr and Shaz Hudson of Wednesfield seemed unstoppable in their match.

There was more accurate shooting by Helen Smith and Margaret Jones of Crescent and Angela Slaterand Jayne Walters of Ladybirds in Division 2.

Mandy Fellows and Vicki Rock of Whitmore Y and Samantha Perks and Debra of Wednesfield also provided close finishes.

The closest was the one goal difference scored by Sally Essex and Kerry Walker of Wanderers and Lynda Wilson and Caroline Dobson of Lucas.
